Now more than ever, it is imperative that we move full force ahead in supporting clean energy practices, organizations, technologies and companies.
If we needed a fire under our ass, we just got an inferno.
Buy electric cars, install solar on everything, do everything you can to use as little coal or fossil fuel energy as possible, and the industries that Trump is about to empower in his first 100 days will have no incentive to produce by the time their permits are granted, which would be at least a few years, more than enough time to make some serious shifts in our consumption.
We're already at 13%.
And by some estimates, we can be at over 30% by 2018.
California itself is already at 29%.
Remember, it's a supply demand thing.
That is capitalism.
And if the demand isn't there, there's no incentive to provide the supply.
So let's eliminate that demand.
Let's bankrupt those companies and efforts.
It's on us now.
If we play our cards right, this might be the urgency to spur the golden age of environmentalism that we needed.
